Outkast star Big Boi is to undergo three months of drug testing following his August arrest for allegedly carrying illegal substances as he stepped off a cruise liner.
The rapper, real name Antwan Patton, was departing a ship in Florida when a sniffer dog picked up a drug trace and officials insisted on searching the star. They discovered ecstasy and a cigarette roller with marijuana residue and MDMA on his person.
The rapper, who was facing two felony drug charges, struck a deal with prosecutors in a Miami court on Thursday and a judge ruled that Big Boi must also complete an unspecified number of community service hours and donate $2,000 to charity.
If the Grammy winner remains drug-free throughout the next 90 days, all of the charges against him will be dropped, according to the Associated Press.
